There has been a lot of misinformation floating around judging by the posts.
Katie is O+ blood type.
Michele is O+ blood type.
Edward is O+ blood type.
We are all compatable donors.
Dr. Alter never considered our religious objections at all.
Dr. Alter never did a crossmatch on Katie and Michele's blood.
Dr. Alter called in CPS to force public blood upon us. Michele consented after pressure was put upon her and fear of losing her kids.
Even without a religious objection we would have objected to the use of public blood due to safety concerns just as many of you might also have concerns.
